As supervisor of Walker's newly renovated Animal Shelter, Mr. Derick Woods promotes and protects the health, safety and welfare of people and pets in this community. He has completed specialized training in shelter operations from the Louisiana Animal Control Association. Mr. Woods began his career in 2006 with the Walker Department of Public Works, moving up the ranks to service technician. His dedication to providing quality service for the community of Walker propelled him into his new position as Animal Control Supervisor. His dedication does not stop at work; he is also a deacon and Praise Team member at Greater St. Mark Baptist Church. He and his wife have two chidlren and two grandchildren.
