Mr. Darren Blevins has lived in Walker since 1999 and has worked for the Town of Walker for nearly a decade. He is extremely devoted to providing quality services to those who live in the community, and under his leadership, the City of Walker Department of Public Works was honored as the Energy Conservation System of the Year by the Louisiana Rural Water Association. "The 'treat-others-as-you-would-have-them-treat-you' policy is in effect in this department," he says. "We will do our best to give you accurate information, even if it is not what you want to hear." Mr. Blevins is a highly visible community volunteer, serving on the boards of the Louisiana Animal Control Association, Livingston Parish Fire Protection District #4, and the Walker Renegades. He also works with the Walker Youth Soccer Association and Walker Parks & Recreation.
