A lifelong resident of the Town of Walker, Ms. Tammy Payton joined the administration in 2005. She brought with her more than 20 years of experience working in a muliplicity of job duties at the Livingston Parish Federal Credit Union, ranging from loan and payroll processing to extensive customer service responsibilities.

After graduating from Walker High School, she attended and graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University in 1984. She also received certifications in office administration, English and credit union management. This unique blend of education and work experience was brought to the City of Walker, where she executes her responsibilities of maintaining personnel records, payroll management and benefits coordination.

An important aspect of her life as a wife and mother is enjoying precious time with her family, church fellowship and worship, and reading motivational and inspirational books.
