Mr. Claude Ezell and his family moved to Walker in 1971. He worked in the petro-chemical industry for 45 years, supplying pipe valves and fittings. He started as a truck driver and worked his way up to vice president of purchasing, inventory control and asset management for seven stores in Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi and Texas.
In 1986, he started his own company in the same industry. After the storms of 2005, he closed his firm and in November 2006 joined the Town of Walker Purchasing Department. In 2007, he became purchasing agent. During his tenure, Mr. Ezell has worked to improve the city's inventory control system and purchasing procedures.
