[ August 5 | 5:30 p.m. ] Livingston Parish National Night Out Against Crime in the Winn Dixie Parking Lot. The event is being hosted by the City of Walker, the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office and area law-enforcement agencies. There will be rides, games and learning activites for the kids - including tours of the crime-fighting equipment used in Livingston Parish. The fun ends with a bang of a fireworks show.
[ August 6 ] Livingston Parish Public Schools begin classes.
