The City of Walker's Sewer Department serves more than 2,300 customers in Walker. Workers maintain 23 lift stations, which collect and pump to the city's treatment plant. After expanding in 2000, the sewer treatment capacity tripled, from 500,000 gallons per day to 1.5 million gallons per day.
